A demo of Standard BTG's progressive iBuild Online Fundraising Software is now online. This demo shows a small church renovation, and allows users to see both the inside and outside of the church with a short tour. Test donations can be made to see how the graphics are updated, and the donations can be reset at any time. Click here for more information about the iBuild Online Fundraising Demo.

Project Heartwood, created with the iBuild Online Fundraising System, has been set up as a demonstration on this site.

Visit it here to see how the software has been used to show the apartments and the fundraising progress.

Online giving has become essential for any fundraising organization today. Whatever the purpose behind an organization, the donors they are trying to reach expect to be able to learn about its mission online, and to use their credit card to donate online as well. Besides the convenience for donors and the reduced administration for organizations, one non-profit credit card processor found online donations were 30% to, in some cases, over 600% higher on average than offline giving.

Project Heartwood is now live on the net. This $10 million affordable housing project is seeking to raise almost $3 million through donations. The fundraising progress is shown using the iBuild Fundraising System, at http://www.heartwoodplace.ca/onlinebuild, and donations can be accepted online too. The software developed by Standard BTG Inc. is being used to show each apartment and 10 separate areas in each where donations are applied. There is also an exterior view that shows a lighted apartment window for every complete apartment!

Consulting Solutions - Online Interactive Fundraising
Image

Heartwood Place is a charitable organization in Kitchener Ontario, committed to making a change in the local housing crisis. Their latest undertaking is Project Heartwood, a $10 million development to create nearly 100 apartments in downtown Cambridge Ontario.

When Heartwood Place decided to fundraise online, they wanted to do much more than simply accept donations over the Internet. Heartwood Place required a solution that could stand as the keystone of the fundraising campaign.
Here are some of the goals that were reached with the Online Build fundraising site:

  • Showcase Project Heartwood - the building and apartments
  • Track the progress of donations
  • Offer an interactive and compelling experience for donors - one that gave them a more tangible connection to the project
  • Accept donations online in realtime and reduce administrative costs
  • Produce a truly unique and innovative fundraising site, unlike anything that had been done before.

The resulting Online Build site for Project Heartwood is an exciting resolution of the challenging goals set for Project Heartwood. These are some highlights of how the software was used to create Project Heartwood Online Build: Image

  • Project Heartwood building and apartments are shown in full 3D
  • The 3D view is interactive, allowing many different views including a walkthrough of the apartments
  • One apartment is funded at a time, alternating between single and two bedroom apartments
  • Each completed apartment lights a window on the 3D exterior view
  • The apartments are divided into logical parts: Walls, Flooring, Plumbing, Appliances, etc. and each is completed in order
  • Incomplete apartments appear in wire-frame and are gradually shaded in for every $500 received in donations
  • When a donation is made, all users connected to the site will see the updated project status!
  • Donations are accepted online in realtime, through Heartwood Place's chosen credit card processor. Donations are applied instantly to the project and a receipt is sent, all without any administration by Heartwood Place
  • Donors provide information that helps Heartwood Place build stronger relationships within their community and this information is imported into the 3rd party fund-raising software used at Heartwood Place
